Not every AC problem needs a new system. That's something a lot of homeowners don't hear enough. On this Minnetonka call, the complaint was simple - the house just wasn't getting cool enough. The system was running, but it wasn't keeping up.

Here's what we were working with: an older outdoor condenser unit paired with a Bryant furnace that handles the blower side of the cooling system. Both pieces were still functional. Nothing was dead. But the system wasn't performing the way it should - and the fix turned out to be a blower adjustment, not a replacement.

The blower inside your furnace is what moves cooled air through your home when the AC is running. If it's not moving air at the right speed, your system loses efficiency fast. Too slow and the air doesn't reach every room. Too fast and the refrigerant can't cool it properly. Getting that setting dialed in for your specific setup makes a real difference - sometimes a couple degrees worth.

We know how to work with older equipment and get real performance out of it. That takes experience. Anyone can quote you a new system. It takes more know-how to look at what you've got, find the inefficiency, and fix it correctly. That's what we did here, and the homeowner left with a noticeably cooler house.

If your AC is running but just not keeping up, don't assume you need to replace everything. The answer might be simpler than you think.
